About Us
We are dedicated to creating opportunities through education, community support, and meaningful initiatives that actively and sustainably empower the next generation globally every day.
Why We Exist
Games are one of the most powerful cultural forces of our time — shaping identity, driving economies, and creating shared worlds. Yet the people and communities who have the most to contribute are often the least represented in how games are made, funded, and discussed.
The Ebonix Foundation exists to change that. We work with communities, organisations, and institutions to build the conditions for equitable participation — not just in games, but in the broader digital and cultural landscape that games inhabit.
We bring a decade of lived experience in the games community to everything we do. Our work is grounded in creative practice, cultural specificity, and a genuine belief that representation requires infrastructure, not just intention.
OUR MISSION
OUR STORY
The Foundation grew out of over a decade of work in the Sims 4 custom content community — creating over hundreds of mods and building a following that proved, beyond any doubt, that Black creators and communities have always been central to games culture and deserved to be seen.
Our Founder, Danielle Udogaranya, saw something that the wider industry often missed: that the people closest to the margins of the games industry were producing the most culturally resonant work. The Foundation was created to build an institutional home for that work, and to create pathways for others to follow.
Registered as a Community Interest Company, The Ebonix Foundation is accountable to its community — by design.
The Ebonix Foundation C.I.C. is a registered Community Interest Company in England & Wales. Our Articles of Association and CIC Statements are available on request and via Companies House.
